Broken Coast Cannabis Ltd. is a federally licensed, independent producer of medical cannabis. Registering with and purchasing from us ensures you are obtaining your medical cannabis in full accordance with federal regulations. You can confirm our license status, and that of any other legal provider of cannabis, on Health Canada's website.

The ACMPR regulations require that a licensed producer receive the proper paperwork before any medical cannabis can be purchased. In order to buy medical cannabis you must complete the following steps:
- Sign up for an account using our signup form.
- Fill out either application form A or B from our How to Apply page, and have your medical practitioner fill out the Medical Document.
- Mail the original, signed forms to:

As soon as we receive and verify your paperwork we will send you an email informing you that your account has been activated. At this point you will be able to purchase our products.

Yes, the prescription label attached to the bottle your product arrived in, or the prescription document included with your order, is your official authorization to possess.
We hear from many clients who would like to have a 'membership card' that allows them to carry medical cannabis, but unfortunately the government doesn't accept these cards as legal proof of possession under the ACMPR.
No. You can receive your entire prescription every month, but you can only order a maximum of 150 grams at one time, and you cannot order more than 30 times your daily dosage in your 30 day order period.
For example: If your daily dosage is 3 grams/day, you can order up to 90 grams every 30 days. If your daily dosage is 10 grams/day, you can order up to 300 grams in any 30 day period.
The introduction of the ACMPR regulations on August 24, 2016 changed the way licensed producers calculate your 30x daily ordering limit and the new rules require us to set out a 30 day order reset period based on the estimated delivery date of your first order. Once your 30 day order period is established, you can purchase any portion of your prescription that is estimated to arrive during that 30 day window and your entire 30x daily limit will be available again on your order limit reset date.
To reduce complexity we have averaged the estimated delivery time to be 2 business days for both Canada Post and Purolator. Both companies will email more detailed delivery information to you once your order has been picked up from our facility.
To help understand how the new ordering limit works please see the example below:
1.) New registration August 26, 2016, for 3g/day:
90g order limit set - no order period established
2.) First order August 30, 2016 for 60g, estimated delivery of September 1, 2016
30g remaining - order period established from September 1st to 30th, resetting on October 1 ,2016.
3.) Second order September 30, 2016, for 30g
0g remaining - no more orders available for this order period
4.) October 1, 2016 - order period resets
90g available to order - 30 day order period from October 1st to 30th, resetting on October 31, 2016.
Medical insurance plans typically do not cover medical cannabis in Canada. In certain cases it can be claimed with Veterans Affairs or as a health deduction from personal income tax. Speak to your doctor or insurance provider for more details.
If your account says INACTIVE, it means that your account hasn't yet been authorized and you are not able to order medical marijuana at this time. Your account will remain INACTIVE until you've sent in the required paperwork and we have verified it with your health care practitioner's office. Visit our How to Apply page for more information.
You may also have an INACTIVE account status if your prescription has expired (although we do send out periodic emails to let you know when you're close to your prescription expiry date).

We are always identifying, producing, and testing additional strains. Looking for something in particular? Send us an email and let us know! We tailor our strain selection to meet customer demand.
Yes, you can split your monthly prescribed amount between different strains, with a minimum purchase amount of 10 grams.
All strains will be whole-cured buds unless the name specifically states that the product has been milled. Our milled products are composed entirely of cured, whole buds and contain no 'trim' or 'shake'.
You must sign up and be logged in to an account to see product photos and full descriptions. Once logged in, you can access our full strain details. There are no strings attached; if you sign up and then decide not to become a customer you are under no obligation to complete an application form or provide us with any more information.
All photos used on our website are of the product produced and cured at our facility and are posted as they become available for purchase. What you see is what you get - no substitutions, no stock photography.
Returns can be made within 30 days of purchase by sending any remaining product back to Broken Coast Cannabis along with a written note indicating the reason for return. Broken Coast will only issue a refund for up to 10g per strain for a maximum of 30g per order. Any product returned to us has to be destroyed and cannot be resold or returned to you; please consider this when ordering strains you have not tried before.
Only the returned portion of the product can be credited towards your prescription order limit, regardless of what portion of the order was refunded.
We use only pesticides approved for use on cannabis by the Pesticide Management Resource Agency (PMRA) that have been assessed for health and safety, and are thus permitted for use in the ACMPR by Health Canada.
We are proactively using Ascend Sulphur (elemental sulphur) and Rootshield (Trichoderma harzianum) on every batch.
We are also using, on an as-needed basis:
- Opal and Kopa (fatty acid potassium salts)
MIlstop (potassium bicarbonate)
Botanigard ES (Beauveria bassiana)
We ship our orders via either Canada Post Xpresspost or Purolator Express.
- Canada Post Xpresspost - $5.00 flat fee for smaller orders, and FREE for orders over $150
- Purolator Express - $15.00 flat fee for small smaller orders, and FREE for orders over $200

All orders made after 5:30 am PST will ship out the following business day.

- Purolator Express – 2-3 business days*
A signature is required upon delivery, and shipments can only be sent to the shipping address associated with your account. You can change this shipping address by filling out an address amendment form.
Please note that we cannot ship outside of Canada.* Estimated delivery times may vary depending on the destination address and may take longer for certain locations. Broken Coast Cannabis Ltd. can not be held accountable for delays in carrier delivery .
